Manufacturer: Eschebach, Dresden, pine wood painted white, slanting round legs with connecting braces, square seat rotatable and height-adjustable, swiveling shoulder board in the backrest, signs of age and wear, seat H up to approx. 57 cm, backrest H up to approx .92 cm, 1920s, the chair was part of a complete kitchen set offered as "time and labor saving" and reflects the simple functionality of the time, cf. Erlewein, Eugenie: Hauswirtschaftslehre der Neuzeit, vol. 3, p. 49. The Dresden company Eschebach was a well-known kitchen furniture manufacturer until the 1990s and played a pioneering role in the construction of modern, practically equipped compact kitchens. The kitchen chair is part of a so-called reform kitchen, in which functionality, hygiene and ergonomics are combined according to the most modern aspects.
