Oil/hardboard, nude with parrot, signed and dated (19)68 lower right, titled "Akt" on reverse, dated and signed, profiled bar, approx. 80 x 62 cm, with framing approx. 88 x 69 cm, student of Alfred Particles at the Kunstakademie in Königsberg, 1946-50 studied at the Weimar HS, influenced by Max Pechstein, Erich Heckel and Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, among others, from 1950 master student with Otto Herbig, then lecturer for color design and life drawing at the Weimar HS, from 1954 he worked as a freelance painter and graphic artist in his hometown of Gersdorf, numerous honors, prizes and exhibitions in Saxony and beyond
