Oil/canvas, church interior, view of a baroque pulpit with figures of saints, signed lower left and dated 1934, unframed, approx. 100 x 70 cm, Beckert attended the Leipzig art academies from 1894-96 and the Dresden academy from 1896-99, a student of Friedrich Preller dJ and G. Kuehls, 1902 founding of the artist group "Die Elbier", 1908 Beckert habilitated in architectural painting at the Technical University of Dresden, appointed full professor, most important Dresden vedute painter of the early 20th century.
