Watercolor, landscape with an avenue in Saxon Switzerland, signed in pencil lower right, framed behind glass in a simple passe-partout, signs of age, section approx. 40 x 57 cm, with frame approx. 62 x 77 cm, 1926-29 studies at the Dresden Academy Fine Arts with R. Müller, F. Dorsch and M. Feldbauer. 1929 master class with G. Lührig. Since 1930 freelance in Dresden. Fritzsche became a member of the KPD in 1919 and took part in the resistance against National Socialism after 1933; Arrested several times, 1937 professional ban. Although physically impaired at work by abuse during the Nazi dictatorship, he continued to be artistically active.
