Woodcut on beige paper, titled "Tanz" in pencil on the lower left edge, signed and dated (19)78 on the right and limited "10/3" in the middle, slight signs of age (including 1 x min. tear on the right edge), sheet approx. 59.5 x 41.5 cm, 1941 student of Alfred Particles at the Art Academy in Königsberg, 1946-50 studies at the Weimar HS, influenced by Max Pechstein, Erich Heckel and Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, among others, from 1950 master student with Otto Herbig, afterwards Lecturer in color design and life drawing at the Weimar HS, from 1954 he worked as a freelance painter and graphic artist in his hometown of Gersdorf, numerous honors, prizes and exhibitions in Saxony and beyond
