Alabaster, dancer with castanets, graceful Art Nouveau figure in a light, flowing dress, on the octagonal base signed on the back and provided with a foundry stamp, the right arm is glued at the base (the glued seam is still visible), minor chips, height approx. 49 cm. from 1884 trained as a sculptor at the art school in Breslau with Robert Haertel and Christian Behrens, then executed monuments, including the 1895 Kaiser Wilhelm monument in Glatz, 1893/94 worked in Auguste Rodin's studio in Paris, then worked in Berlin with his own studio , his well-known Art Nouveau works, mainly female nudes, created around 1900
