Oil/canvas, river landscape with house and trap fishermen, unsigned, old rest. and provided with a new frame, approx. 79 x 97 cm, with frame approx. 91 x 109 cm, numerous notes and labels on the reverse: old collection label "B. Hausmann, Hannover, Haus-Katalognummer: 126", marked "C. Decker ", collection seal, remnants with handwritten reference to Decker and van de Velde, sticker of the painting directory at Blankenburg Castle no. 0865, reference to the Fideicommiss gallery, Eisenmann catalog no. 95, catalog directory 1905, no. 81 and canvas with red Collection issue of the English royal family (George V) "George Rex". The Dutch painter and draftsman CG Decker was a student of Salomon Ruysdael and joined the Guild of Saint Luke in Haarlem in 1642. He mainly painted forest and river landscapes, which were provided with figures by Adrian van Ostade and van de Velde, as well as interiors. His works can be found in numerous museums and collections, including in Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Copenhagen, Berlin and Paris. Bernhard Hausmann (1784 -1873), named on the back, was a manufacturer and art collector and co-founder of the Kunstverein Hannover in 1832. Large parts of his collection are now in the Herzog Anton Ulrich Museum in Braunschweig.
