rectangular porcelain plate, marked: Königliche Porzellanmanufaktur KPM Berlin (eagle mark pressed with additional mark "P 3"), in the finest colored painting frontal portrait of a gentleman in a black coat sitting at a table, signed "L. Böttcher" and dated "1849" lower right, in contemporary, finely ornamented Late Empire frame, panel size approx. 9 x 7.5 cm, signs of age, frame slightly damaged, cf. Waltraud Neuwirth: Porzellanmaler-Lexikon Vol. 1, p. 146, L. Böttcher listed there as "Porcelain- portrait painter"
