Round plaque made of metal, patinated, representation of 4 male nude figures as warriors with sword and shield, signed and dated (19)17 on the lower edge, mounted on a wooden board, ibid. verso suspension, plaque D approx. 8 cm, with frame approx 14 x 10.5 cm, 1905-08 studied at the Academy for Graphic Arts and Book Trade in Leipzig, 1908-1913 ibid. with Adolf Lehnert, Georg Schiller and Walter Tiemann, then worked as a freelancer, 1919-23 taught at the Leipzig Academy, 1943 loss of the studio during bombing raids, works including small sculptures and portrait medals (also made of Meissner porcelain on the 400th anniversary of Lucas Cranach's death and on the 750th anniversary of the city of Dresden) and plaques, busts, fountains, baptismal fonts and animal sculptures
