In addition to his large-scale sculptural work, the sculptor and medalist Max Hermann Fritz (1873-1948) formed models for various porcelain manufacturers, including Meissen, Rosenthal, Fraureuth and Lichte. For the Hutschenreuther art department, Fritz delivered over 50 models with a clear preference for groups of animals.
