Manufacturer: Lorenz Hutschenreuther, Selb (art department mark), model by Max Hermann Fritz 1928, ivory glazed, on a rock base two playing greyhounds, discreetly decorated in brown and black, on the base artist's monogram MHF, H approx. 27.5 cm, 1930s. In addition to his large-scale sculptural work, the sculptor and medalist Max Hermann Fritz (1873-1948) formed models for various porcelain manufacturers, including Meissen, Rosenthal, Fraureuth and Lichte. For the Hutschenreuther art department, Fritz delivered over 50 models with a clear preference for groups of animals.
