Watercolor on drawing cardboard, fisherman on the beach near Wustrow, monogrammed and dated 1959 lower left, behind glass framed in a passe-partout, sheet section approx. 34 x 45.5 cm, with frame approx. 50 x 60 cm, Holtz-Sommer studied at the HfBK in Weimar with Hugo Gugg, Fritz Feigler and Walther Klemm, in 1941 she received a scholarship from the German Albrecht Dürer Foundation and after the war became a member of the Mecklenburg artist collective, close contact with fellow painter and mentor Hans Theo Richter, member of the artist collective Ahrenshoop
