Watercolor over lead, abstract landscape with trees by a pond, signed lower right, attached behind cardboard, verso color study, slight signs of age (including verso slight traces of attachment), sheet approx. 32 x 46 cm, Rudi Gruner belongs to the so-called lost generation of expressive realists, 1939 exhibition in the Chemnitz Kunsthütte with Martha Schrag, Heinrich Brenner, Bruno Ziegler and Marianne Brandt, freelance after 1945, close contact with the Chemnitz artist group, illustrated for the Reclam publishing house, among others, 1984 awarded the Hans Grundig Medal
