Watercolour, view of a Venetian canal with gondolas at a dock, in the background a church, signed and dated 1929 lower right, ibid. with place name Venice, behind passe-partout and glass in a gold-colored frame (slightly rubbed), slight signs of age, sheet section c. 35.5 x 47.5 cm, with frame approx. 51 x 66 cm, work comes from the direct estate of the artist, Chemnitz painter and lithographer, since 1902 member of the Kunsthütte Chemnitz, from 1907 co-founder and chairman of the Chemnitz artists' group, impressively kept that Chemnitz cityscape of the first third of the 20th century in his pictures, numerous exhibits in museums in the region
