Oil/canvas, the duet, the flute player in front of an open window with the roofs of Dresden’s old town, a songbird to his side, signed lower left and dated 1923, framed, approx. 61 x 80 cm, with frame approx. 76 x 95 cm, Painter, graphic artist, illustrator and caricaturist, initially an apprenticeship as a porcelain painter, studied 1881-87 at the Dresden Academy under Alfred Hildenbrandt and Ferdinand Pauwels, 1889 moved to Munich and 1903 to Pasing, from 1891 worked on the Munich magazine Der Wahre Jacob, at times for the people of Munich Active in flying leaves, exhibitions in Dresden, Berlin and in the Munich Glass Palace
