Silver 835, marked in German, curved, richly decorated stand with surrounding ornamental and floral band, wall made of one piece of ivory, in the high relief partly fully plastically worked out closely lined up 10 dancing female figures, including very finely worked drapery of antique robes, slightly swinging upper wall edge with silver mounting and surrounding ornamental frieze, attached volute handle, silver cover mounting with leaf knob and floral band, partly finely punched, on it a plastic figure crowning the allegory of the dance, leaning on a tree trunk, holding a cloth in both hands while dancing, very filigree carving, 2 x slightly damaged, 1 x slightly restored, otherwise good condition, height approx. 41 cm, late 19th century
