Oil/hardboard, verso titled Artisten, signed lower left and dated 1976, in artist's frame with shadow joint (min. dam.), approx. 63.5 x 47 cm, with frame approx. 72 x 55 cm, belongs to the so-called lost generation more expressive Realists, 1939 exhibition in the Chemnitz Kunsthütte with Martha Schrag, Heinrich Brenner, Bruno Ziegler and Marianne Brandt, freelance after 1945, close contact with the Chemnitz artist group, illustrated for the Reclam publishing house, among others, awarded the Hans Grundig Medal in 1984
