silver plated, manufacturer: WMF, Geislingen, on 4 volute feet with a mask, jagged and curly walls, decorated with egg frieze and punched ornaments, between the inkwell and sandwell with a lid, a rectangular depression (ink blotter is missing), partly with leaf relief, plastic figure representation of the seated goddess of victory, Victoria holding a palm frond and a wreath or Bavaria holding a sword (blade missing) and a wreath, missing part on vase foot (probably originally an eagle), engraving for Mr. Wilhelm Jaeckel, City Secretary, as a kind reminder 1867-1904 Dr. Antoni Lord Mayor..., signs of age and use, L approx. 48 cm, H approx. 27 cm, after 1904
