Oil on canvas, "Stute mit Fohlen", signed lower left and additionally signed on the reverse and provided with the place name "Dresden", slight signs of age, framing renewed, approx. 135.5 x 65.5 cm, with frame approx. 147 x 78 cm, 1909-12, 1940s/50s, Fritz Winkler attended the Dresden School of Applied Arts, 1912-15 studied at the Dresden Art Academy with Emanuel Hegenbarth, soldier in World War I, loss of an eye, 1918-21 master student with Emanuel Hegenbarth, member of the board of the Saxon Art Association, after 1933 no more opportunities to exhibit or work, 1945 destruction of his studio
