Bergmann at the Düsseldorf Academy, then in Berlin with E. Bracht and Fr. Kallmorgen, mainly depicts motifs from the surroundings of his Düsseldorf homeland, from 1904 participation in the Great Berlin Art Exhibition and the Munich Annual Exhibition in the Glass Palace
