Magnificent, richly structured writing furniture, walnut veneered on coniferous wood, chest of drawers on turned feet, in it open paneled knee compartment with drawer flanked by 3 drawers each with curved front, on the cover plate slanting flap desk top (inside with 3 drawers), in the tabernacle top set back high tabernacle compartment surrounded of a total of 9 drawers, in the tabernacle also 5 drawers, side compartments can be opened with a secret mechanism, elaborately designed side supports and curved gable with volute decoration, cube marquetry in the desk flap, in the surfaces varied, light and dark band inlays, overall good condition with normal age - and signs of wear, approx. 203 x 140 x 84 cm, South German, probably Mainz around 1750
