16 woodcuts in total, with 13 x illustrations for "Don Quichotte", each inscribed and titled in lead, some printed several times from the same stick, with 2 prints titled "Der Mond" and 1 x scene from "Othello", each at the bottom right signed in lead, signs of age (among others browned, edges creased), sheet up to approx. 45 x 31 cm, 1906-09 studied at the Dresden School of Applied Arts, then theater painter at the Dresden Court Theater, 1913-14 training at the Dresden Art Academy with E. Hegenbarth, 1917 continued his studies with Gussmann, 1918 graduated with the grand state prize, 1919 co-founder of the Dresden Secession together with Otto Dix, Lasar Segall, Conrad Felixmüller and others
