Oil/hardboard, flower still life, signed and dated 1944 lower right, framed, approx. 80 x 60 cm, with frame approx. 87 x 66 cm, graphic artist and sculptor, 1946 training as a sculptor with the sculptor Burkhard Ebe, 1947-50 sculptor apprenticeship with Herbert Volwahsen in Dresden, 1950 admission to the Association of Visual Artists in Germany, Naumann lived and worked as a freelance artist in the Loschwitzer Künstlerhaus from 1950, 1994 moved to Dittersbach into the "Künstlerhaus Hofmannsches Gut", with works in the Salomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York, among others, Represented in the Galerie Neue Meister, in the Kupferstichkabinett and in the Skulpturensammlung in Dresden
