Sculpture, oak wood, untitled, wooden stele processed with various tools, abstract figurative representation, mounted on a wooden base, below the base inscribed "Brockhage 1986", H approx. 66 cm, the sculpture was created on the occasion of the wood symposium Bermsgrün 1986, it was already then von Brockhage wanted the sculpture to be treated with bone glue and black pigment later after the wooden surface had started to age, this was done by the artist himself in the early 1990s, cf.: "H. In addition to concrete and bronze, Brockhage primarily used wood as a traditional material from his homeland in the Ore Mountains. The often only roughly hewn trunks from which he created his works of art always reflect the peculiarities of the natural material.
