Oil/canvas, Alpenhof in front of a mountain backdrop, signed and dated (19)24 lower right, molding frame, signs of age, canvas slightly restored, approx. 52 x 65 cm, with frame approx. 60 x 74 cm, 1889-93 study at the Kunstgewerbeschule Dresden and 1893-97 with Wilhelm von Dietz at the Munich Academy, from 1900 freelance ibid., among other things teacher at the school of the Munich Artists' Association, attended the 1913 International Art Exhibition in the Munich Glass Palace, won the 1st prize and was awarded a Gold medal awarded, 1927 award of the title of professor as professor of fine arts by the Bavarian Ministry for Education and Culture, member of the Munich Secession and the Reich Association of Fine Artists in Germany
