Lithograph in olive green, seated female nude with outstretched arm, representation reduced to outlines, signed and inscribed in lead on the lower edge, slight signs of age, sheet approx. 37.5 x 49.5 cm, 1924-28 training as a wood and stone sculptor , then studied at the Leipzig School of Applied Arts until 1932, worked as a freelancer until 1940, soldier in World War II and as a prisoner of war, from 1946 lecturer at the HGB Leipzig, from 1949-70 at the HGB Dresden, member of the German Academy of Arts, 1958-61 member of the Central Committee of the SED, 1958-1964 chairman of the VBK
