Sculpture, oak wood, vertical drop or daring swing (1997), large object worked on with various tools, sawn from a curved trunk part, abstract representation with frozen moment of movement, mounted on a long L-shaped stainless steel plate, partly clearer traces of weathering due to outdoor installation, approx. 186 x 70 x 36 cm, the L-shaped plate approx. 200 x 55 cm, sculptor and designer, after military service and being seriously wounded, from 1945 apprenticeship as a wood sculptor and turner, then from 1947-52 studies at the HbK Dresden with Mart Stam and others Marianne Brandt, with whom he was friends until her death, development of the rocking car (1957 and 1960 awards), 1952-55 work at the Institute for Applied Arts Berlin, then freelance in Schwarzenberg, 1967-77 lecturer at the HS Burg Giebichenstein in Halle, from 1968 first sculptural works in wood and concrete as well as several years of cooperation with the VEB Kunstgewerbewe rkstätten Olbernhau, 1971 first exhibition in the Grassi Museum Leipzig (together with T.
