Meissen manufactory, swords in underglaze blue, 4 cuts through, curved edge, decorated in underglaze blue, crowned Saxon coat of arms in the middle surrounded by the ligated initials "FAR" (for Friedrich August Rex), with laurel tendrils and dated "15. OCT. 1904", D approx. 25 cm, 1904, King George of Saxony died on October 15, 1904 after only two years of reign, whereupon his son Friedrich August III. as the last Saxon king to ascend the throne.
