Manufacturer: Philipp Rosenthal, Selb (art department mark), model by Fritz Heidenreich, light red and white crackle glaze, H approx. 17.5 cm, modeled around 1940. The modeller and sculptor Fritz Heidenreich (1895-1966) attended the porcelain technical school in Selb as a master student by Fritz Klee. Over the long period from 1919 to 1960 he worked as a modeller for the Rosenthal art department, mainly making animal figures.
