Tubular steel armchair B 3, so-called Wassily armchair, designed by: Marcel Breuer 1925, manufactured by: Knoll, Italy, chromed tubular steel and black cowhide leather construction, minor signs of wear, leather in very good condition, the plastic stoppers on the underside are missing once, approx. 74 x 79 x 70 cm, Marcel Breuer designed the Wassily Chair at the Bauhaus in Dessau when he was still a so-called young master and head of the furniture workshop. The armchair is one of the earliest Bauhaus products in which tubular steel - taken from bicycle construction - was used for furniture construction.
