Round dish 1001 Nights with relief decoration

Meissen, crossed swords mark, 2 cuts through and 1 cross cut, relief decor Neumarseilles, in the center and the cartouches colored painting in the decor 1001 Nights, design by Heinz Werner 1966/67, gold border and staffage, D approx. 31 cm. At the beginning of the 1970s, experiments were carried out with the painterly execution of the 1001 night decor on crockery with the Neumarseilles relief decor. The cartouches are ideal for designing the tableware with playful individual motifs from the 1001 Nights decor. This decoration variation never reached production maturity, probably due to the extensive costs involved in production.
