Manufacturer: Lorenz Hutschenreuther, Selb (art department mark), model by Fritz Klee 1918, cockatoo sitting on a golden ball, subtly colored painted, on a green-black rocaille base with a ribbed shaft, gold decoration, H approx. 38 cm, 1930s. The architect, sculptor, artisan and graphic artist Fritz Klee (1876-1976) opened an office for architecture and arts and crafts in Munich after studying architecture. In 1908 he became director of the college for the porcelain industry in Selb. At the Brussels World Exhibition in 1910 he was responsible for the Rosenthal exhibition room. Head of the Hutschenreuther art department from 1918, numerous models of decorative objects and figures were created by him.
